Jodi is an upright jazz bassist, an electric bassist, a pianist, and a guitarist who currently performs with a variety of jazz groups and indie rock bands. She studied performance at the California Jazz Conservatory in Berkeley. Prior to her studies at the CJC she performed, recorded, and toured with a number of indie rock and punk rock bands.

Jodi brings knowledge of applied theory, music notation, performance technique, ear training, as well as an understanding that each student learns in a unique way to the lessons she teaches. Jodi specializes in jazz bass but also loves to teach electric bass, piano and guitar.

In addition to playing and teaching music Jodi enjoys reading, hiking, bicycling, camping in the wilderness, and traveling.
